Wings,
And we are grateful to you for your kind words about our little effort here. Seems like you have had some powerful (and not always in a good way) experiences.

Sometimes Church seems like just another social obligation...my problem is with dogma and fundamentalism...there are some fairly loving  congregations around my parts but as a "woman with a past" I always feel like a red headed stepchild. I tend to be of a mystical bent and I had a very ORTHADOX upbringing that was sort of a training in mental illness...so I find my "family" by trusting the Holy Spirit to lead me my only loyalty is to my Creator ;this is my soul we are talking about here. The stakes are high. Witch of the thousands of interpertations of this faith do I listen to ? I think being a Christian can be confusing...I've been going to a prayer group(just 2 or 3 people and the Pastor show up) last time I went they laid hands on me and shortly after I got so sick I thought I was going to die???and the depression I was trying to work out of by going to this prayer group came to a head and I came face to face with every petty, irritated ,hateful, jelouse, angry, dispairing, judgmental, bitterness within me. My own shadow (is this capacity for darkness what is called original sin?)
Right now I am grateful for your Virtual Church where I can have a little anonimity to freely discuss these issues and "untangle my mind"

Indeed, we here are probably not entirely right about anything, and probably not entirely wrong about many things. We do our best, and trust in God's Forgiveness for the rest.

Do I have to have a reason?

(Not meant provocatively)

Oh, I don't know...I just have recently been looking for the company of Christians who don't always have to be right about every little thing. I was referred here by someone.

I find that, in conversation with such Christians, I tend to become something of an irritant because I still am pretty sure I'm right about a lot of things...

But the list of things I am sure about seems to be shrinking.

Subject: Forms of connection
This started a good discussion in our old forum: How do you connect to God ("worship" in traditional church parlance) and/or how do you connect to your sisters/brothers in relation to God ("fellowship")? And as a virtual church, how might we do these online?
Because there is more to Religion than pleasing your Imaginary Friend.
