Subject: Re" Models of God
Charles,
Absolutely, all our models of God are idols of our limited imaginations. Whenever we talk or think about God, our words and thoughts must inevitably be tinged with our idolatry, our love or loathing for our own concepts. We can bypass our idolatry only by talking to God, i.e., in prayer or contemplation.
To facilitate this for us Christians, God makes himself available to us as Jesus the Anointed One, the Christ, to whom we can relate person to person, in whom we find one who has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows - and who has triumphed over them all.

Because there is more to Religion than pleasing your Imaginary Friend.
